Every term, CEI hosts an eight week short course in central London on a variety of topics and themes.

TERM 1

Details for London Short Course term 1.

UNDERSTAND YOUR PRAYER

An exciting seven week short course exploring the meaning of what we recite and hear in our daily prayers.

The first session each week explored the meaning of what we recite in our prayers; the second session explored some of the common suras that are recited in the communal prayers, such as Eid and Friday prayers.

In so doing, we have gained a better understanding of the purpose behind our daily prayers and thereby develop a stronger connection with our Lord.

TERM 2

ROAD TO RAMADAN

An exciting and informative seven week short course about the great month.

During this course we have gone through various topics, such as The Purpose of Ramadan, Tafsir of key passages in the Qur'an about Ramadan, Laytul Qadr, The Book of Fasting Qur'an, SPeech (Ghazali), Fiqh of Fasting, Spiritual benefits of Fasting (Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah) and a session with a qualified Hakim.

TERM 3

OPENINGS

An exciting six week short course that explored Sura Fath (Q. 48), Chapter 11 on Striving in Riyāḍ aṣ-Ṣāliḥīn and the Book on God’s Unicity and Trusting in Him in Ghazali’s Iḥyā′ ‘Ulūm al-Dīn.

Q-CLUB
